Easter Bunnies and Tattoos
I deceided that for this holiday I would do something different. So here ya go.
Along with that, here are some pictures of my tattoos. I know they aren't that good. But it's the best I could do when trying to take the pictures myself. I promise to get some better ones up soon.
And lastly, I will leave you with some pictures of moi. *lol* Atleast I have a new hair do in these ones.

Hiccups and Still No Porn
The kids I work for always think it's hilarious when I get the hiccups. Which for some reason I usually end up getting quite often. Now I do have a remedy that works rather well for me, so it's not a problem of getting rid of them, but I still get them. As I have them right now. The good thing is that the kids aren't up to sing the hiccup song. As funny as it always is to hear, it can get semi-tiredsome.
On to other things. Right now I'm watching Pride and Prejudice, the new one with Keira Knightley. I got it just the other day with Walk the Line. I already have seen Walk the Line. Love it, well basically love Joaquin Phoenix. It also is a very good story as well, and I enjoy quite a bit of the cinematic stuff that goes with it. So as well as watching this movie, I'm surrounded by my knitting stuff, and my travel stuff. Since I'm the one "in charge" of setting the "schedule" for THE TRIP. On the celebrity note, I've finally made my first two sightings. The first was in the city, around CBGB's, and it was of Scott Speedman. The guy from Felecity, and Underworld. Scuffy, and looking skinny. I wanted to grab him, and tell him to eat something. Not really to exciting. Didn't get an autograph or picture or anything. Now the second, I was doing some late night grocery shopping, and as sI was walking down the cereal aisle, who did I see Rob Thomas, the Matchbox 20 guy. I was on the phone with my sister, the one in Taiwan, who likes his music, and everything. So I get a few aisles away from him, and tell her who I just saw, and of course she calls me a liar. But it was him, I'm sure. And I know that he has a house up here in Westchester, so despite what she says, and the fact that I didn't get an autograph or picture (I'm weird, and think that people should be allowed to do their grocery shopping in peace) it was him.
Now, on to the Yarn Porn. I worked all last weeked, and everyone well knows. And of course I'm working tonight. And I'm working tomorrow as well. And because of the huge snow storm we've just got, I won't be going out of the house for like 3 days. Not exactly fun. And of course none of the time will be spent knitting on my socks. I swear they're never going to get done. I'm hoping to head into the city on Sunday, the only day I'll have off this weekend, and knit. I don't think it's both going to get done, but I have to chose which one is more important to me. And since the LYS around me has closed, and it's basically easier for me to go into the city for knitting notions. And I need some new double pointed needles.
Just wish me well that I'll get atleast some decent sleep this weekend.

Potty Training and LYS
In most recent news in my life. "We", basically meaning me, am trying to potty training one of the kids that I take care of. It was going okay, the potty training, until mom actually gave her the option that if she didn't want to go on the potty, she didn't have to. So for the past week, or two, it's been a little like pulling teeth to try and even get the kid to sit on the potty, let alone anything else. It also doesn't help that on the weekends I'm not around, so if the kid needed or wanted to sit on the potty it might not happen. I've read quite a few books and articles on the whole affair. I think I'm just a little frustrated that the whole thing is basically, no pun intended, going down the toilet. So strange, random bit right there. Now on to the real important thing.
Two weekends ago I went to my LYS (Local Yarn Store), got the yarn that I needed for my current project. I read the pattern before starting, and buying the yarn. It said that it would only take about half a skein to make one sock. So for both socks, I would need just about one skein. Well after starting one sock and almost getting done with it. I realized that I would probably need more yarn for them than I had purchased. So I headed off to the LYS to get some more. Once I got there, I was greeted by this very interesting sign, saying that the store had closed. And that there was a LYS that would help me out if I needed anything. This shop was far enough away that it would just be easier for my to head into the city to see if I could find the yarn there. I did find it, well only three of the 6 colours that I needed. At the third store that I went to. The people at the store were nice, but rather snotty. The second store I went to would probably have to be the best one. The lady was really nice when I went in there, very compassionate about the whole situation. Just nice in general. Especially after I had started out midtown, then went downtown, then back uptown. Of course the third store was downtown, in the Finicial district. Wasn't that fun at all. So with all of that I'm not sure if I'll be able to finish my kick ass socks before the knitting olympics are over. (Of course in my biased opinion, I think I should be able to get an extension on my project. Atleast until I get all the yarn I need.) So if anyone knows of anyplace in either New York, or online that sells Plymouth brand Encore worsted yarn in Golden Yellow, Lavender, and Plum, I would so LOOOOOVE you forever. :)
I took a few pictures (A whole 36 film roll) of my yarn collection. I should have that up by the end of this week. Especially since I'm babysitting Friday to Saturday, over night, 36 hours straight or something. So stay tuned, Massive Yarn Porn to come soon.

Knitting Olympics!!!
The Knitting Olympics start tomorrow. And I can't wait to get started on my Very Tall Socks. My first pair of socks ever. I know I posted a while ago that I was going to try and do cables, and then start on Mariah. But of course I have this small problem where I'll get totally excited about one project, start it, or attempted to start it. Then I'll find some thing else that will capture my attention. So for right now it's the Knitting Olympics. The next 16 days I'll be working my ass off trying to get these socks done.
This is what they should look like once I'm done. I of course have different colours. A bright yellow, a bright orange, an aquaish blue, a dark purple, a lavendar, and a hot pink. I think they should look really good when their finished. My own Very Tall Socks should rock.
I hate to punk out, especially when I've got a little time to post. But I'm traveling tomorrow. (So I'm sure I'll update with something from the airport tomorrow.) Which means that I still need to pack everything, and just basically get everything together. In addition I've worked all day. The kids decided that they needed to wake up at 6:30am and 6:55am, of course on the one day that I'm with them all day by myself. Combined with a sinus thing I have, and not sleeping very well at all last night, and having to pack. I have a very "fun-filled" rest of the evening. Did I mention that I'm hoping to be in bed in like an hour. Don't see that happening, but maybe in an hour I will be off work.
Happy Knitting Olympics to ALL!!!

Come one, Come all
To the madness that I call my life. It's a "normal" Tuesday night around here. I'm sitting at the laptop in the kitchen, chatting with a few friends, listening to the monitor, watching TV, and eating cold leftover pizza. Of course I've already downloaded some new music for my iPod. Some H.I.M. , Bloodhound Gang, Teddy Geiger, and White Stripes. Completely strange taste, and weird combo of music. But that of course is me being me. I'm trying to get my iPod all set for the trip I'm taking this weeked. I'm going to Kentucky, once again. I just hope the weather agrees with it, along with my bank account, and all the reservations I already have set up.
So I went into the city on Sunday, decided to hit up Chinatown because I found a bank that was open there on Sundays. Kinda weird, but it worked for me. And I was totally willing to trek in an hour just to make it to a bank on a Sunday. Of course once I get into Chinatown, there's this parade going on. I'm pretty sure it was for Chinese New Year, but not really quite sure. All I know is that the place was jam-packed. Couldn't walk anywhere basically. And of course I get on the wrong side of the street, so I'm diagonal from the bank that I need to get into. I got there like 2 hours before the bank closed. And those two hours were spent walking in circles, getting pushed by little old Chinese women, and then getting yelled at by the "younger" Chinese women not to push the old ladies, who were doing the pushing in the first place. I swear people were on me so much I gave birth to a few people, and some other people were up on me so much that could feel my tampon. (Yeah, I know, gross. But it gives you a picture of what it was like). So finally after I realized that the bank was closed, I totally said F it, and got back on the train and took the hour trip back home. Wasting my whole day just to get pushed, and yelled by people. Not fun.
WD-40 can be used to dissolve cocaine. Some bars spread it on counters to prevent users from a sniff. (So all you druggies, keep a couple of bottles around incase you get busted.)
Berlin, Germany - Hundred of German soccer fans waved emormous inflatable penises at their rivals during a match.
Herbert Hoover was the first US President to have a phone on his White House desk. (So what did the other presidents do before that, just yell?)
Barnstable, MA - Minutes after his mother died in a hospital, a man was caught stealing the morphine from her IV bag.
For Valentines Day - The sound of a kiss is not so loud as that of a cannon, but its echo lasts a great deal longer. -Oliver Wendell Holmes Jr. (So instead of kissing people, stay home and watch a movie full of cannons being shot)
London, England - A High Court in London is attempting to convict a British constable of driving 159 mph. (If you're going to make someone a constable, you should expect them to drive FAST!)
The gum on Israeli postage stamps is kosher. (Talking about Israel. Ami James, the tattoo guy, is HOOOT!!!)
Sydney, Australia - A resurgence of real bed-bugs is taking a bite out of the hotel industry.
A kangaroo cannot jump if you lift its tail.
New York, NY - At the World Grilled Cheese Eating Championship, a 100-pound woman ate 26 sandwiches in 10 minutes. (All those aneroxic girls that finally make it through rehab.)
You can buy a gold-plated slinky toy for $129.95 (Not sure where you could get this, or who could actually buy something like this either.)
Blood may be thicker than water, but it is still sticky, unpleasant, and generally nauseating. - Janeane Garofalo.
London, England - A musuem-goer tripped on his shoelaces and crashed into a set of ancient Chinese vases. (Can you guess what the bill for that would be?)
Statistically, women's eyes are better than men's eyes at detecting gradations of colour.
Reading, PA - Rather than signing his real name, a man signed his voter registration form "God." The form was rejected.
So that's all that I can stand to type for the night. Enjoy the craziness, and laugh at the news. It's a real, and from all over.
